Karen Fonthal

Real Estate Agent

Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Karen Fonthal and her family immigrated to Orange County when she was 7. Karen moved to San Francisco after high school and returned to Orange County again in 2020. While in Northern California, she earned a bachelor’s degree in health education from San Francisco State University. She continued in that field as a behavioral researcher at the University of California, Davis, and worked at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco. She studied software engineering, computer programming, and robotics at Hackbright Academy, the only all-women’s coding school in San Francisco.

Karen’s parents were in real estate while she was growing up, so when she returned to Southern California and the pandemic changed the course of her career, real estate was a natural choice. It turned out to be the perfect timing for her as she embarked on a new career as a real estate professional.

Her years in the health industry taught Karen a lot about herself as she discovered a passion for helping people. She understands the value of humility when working with people, strengthening her commitments to integrity, ethical practice, compassion, honesty, and respect for others. Her capacity for empathy and understanding is exemplified by her fluency in Spanish and English, further enhancing her communication skills.

When Karen’s not working, she likes to create vegan cooking videos for social media. Other hobbies include working out, building computers, skydiving, and growing her 90s memorabilia collection.
